Shreps came out with a way to get ROOT in the Lenovo K5 Plus but I had a question about how to install TWRP in a Lenovo K5 plus and romulocarlos answered;
"Is simple. You will not FLASH that recovery, will BOOT INTO that recovery. Your phone, at this point, will be untouched.
To boot into that recovery, you must install Qualcomm drivers first. Then, you need ADB and FASTBOOT. All these three are easily found in XDA.
Then, boot your phone to fastboot mode. To do this, turn off the phone and remove battery. Press AND HOLD volume up button and turn on the phone. When it vibrates, release the power button but keep volume up pressed until you be presented to a menu. In this menu, touch "fastboot". The phone will restart, and stop at lenovo logo.
Once you have it all, copy the TWRP image to the same folder as ADB and FASTBOOT resides, and then in a administrator command prompt, type this command:
fastboot boot twrp-k5-3.0.2-r1_shreps.img
Your phone will reboot again, and you will be presented to recovery.
Post your question at forum, maybe your question is the question of other people, and more people can help you, too.
Cheers!"
