Problem with LG G3 Screen
I've attached a photo of my LG G3's screen.
It is refurbished, warantee is probably out of the question and I just want to know what the problem is so I can evaluate whether or not to waste the effort/money to fix it.
EDIT: not sure whether it is relevant information but my phone has a custom ROM and is rooted as well.
Over the past few days I've started using an extended 8200mAH battery that has no real back cover.
And I think even a bit earlier than that circuit like marks started appearing on the very borders of the screen(EVEN if it is turned off! as you can see in the picture).
Anyone has any idea what it is? and if I can do something about it? (Probably moisture I believe... but I don't know what to do if this is the case).

HTC One M7 (UL) S-OFF Unkown baseband and imei
Hi guys, i resolve this problem on my galaxy phones (s3-4) and also on my actual phone (zenfone2 551ml)
But on m7 i can't.. i try antother radio, noting, some times baseband return and SIM works, but after some time reboots itself and baseband imei ecc gone again.
Can u help me? I really need to make it work again..

Unable to remove permanent text from my Samsung Tab S 10.5 LTE T805Y

How to Return to Stock Marshmallow on the LG V10?
I have been looking all over but cannot seem to find how to do this. All I have found thus far is how to return to Lollipop. How would one do this? Push come to shove, I have no issue with returning to Lollipop then updating to Marshmallow, but so far I have seen it said that you cannot flash lollipop overtop an existing Marshmallow phone. I am currently running V10_H901_V20E_Mod_By_Emliminater74.

D6633 - 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 How to do it the proper way ?
Hey guys,
I have a Z3 dual for almost 1 year, great device, only sad thing about the device is the ****ty 16gb internal storage allthough it costed me a fortune.
Everyday it is ennoying me telling I have reached 75% of it's storage capacity.
So here is the plan :
I am not interested in unlocking the bootloader , nor rooting the device, i only want to go from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 so i can use a 128gb micro sd as internal storage.
I made a backup of my files with Xperia Companion.
I downloaded Flashtool and with Xperifirm the Russion 6.0.1 update (D6633_Customized RU_1288-7362_23.5.A.0.575_R3D).
With these files I am stuck, I need to create the FTF file, but do I have to include the TA-files that are in this 6.0.1 update ? I don't want to loose my DRM keys so will the update with flashtool make me loose them or is this only possible by unlocking the bootloader ?
Can someone help me with the correct procedure to do this upgrade ?

since last week my Device ist fooling me around :/
i updatete my lg g3 d855 to 6.0 via lg pc suit now i have more problems with my device at all :/
it restart when i make the display light brighter near 100% then my device restart immeditallity.
oh i forgot i loose 60% off my akku power capacity after one restart -.-*
i don't know what i can do now :(
the same error exist in safe boot mode
changing the akku do nothing same problem.
my device is unrooted
oh and i get the dead android man error too -.-*

Verizon S7 Edge (SM-G935V) on AT&T with LTE tip
Hi all, just giving a quick 2 cents after my recent experience attempting to activate a Verizon S7 Edge on AT&T.
*Following a data reset you will need wifi for initial setup if you are using an AT&T sim card.
After following the guide in AT&T's web site for APN settings I was not able to get any data or mms service (this is using the NXTGENPHONE APN), so I did some experimenting. The following APN settings worked for HSPA+ data and mms, but NO LTE and NO MMS if connected to WIFI:
Name: ATT
APN: phone
Proxy: not set
Port: not set
Username: not set
Password: not set
Server: not set
MMSC: http://ift.tt/OpjsVo
Multimedia message proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
Multimedia message port: 80
MCC: 310

To make a long story short I got online to an AT&T chat rep who told me that HSPA+ and LTE are the exact same and they just show up different on different phones... THIS IS NOT CORRECT!
I educated the dumba$$ rep that HSPA+ and LTE are not the same, and asked to speak to a tech support SPECIALIST. After a short wait for transfer the final solution that worked was to have the specialist change the IMEI on file for my phone number to an AT&T branded Note 5 (I had an old one on the account and just used that). I then restarted the phone and had to wait about 10 minutes for the HSPA+ to change to 4GLTE signal. MMS now works when connected to wifi as well! Please note that this was achieved using the above mentioned APN settings- using AT&T's guide for NXTGENPHONE still results in NO data or MMS.
So the bottom line when transferring a Verizon S7 Edge to AT&T:
1. Use the above APN settings
2. Call AT&T and change your phone number's IMEI in their system to an LTE capable AT&T branded device (in my case note 5 worked)
3. Reboot and wait about 10 minutes for the signal to register
**DON'T let a representative tell you that HSPA+ and LTE are the same thing.. we're talking 8 Mbps vs 50+ Mbps download and 2 Mbps vs 20+ Mbps upload!

[Q] i cant get TWRP recovery installed via either , SP Flash tools nor Fastboot
I did everything that was stated in the how to's but to no avail. additionally i cant get TWRP installed via fatboot, i have checked and crosschecked usb debugging and unlock OEM , but i cant get it to work , with SP Flash my phone pops up and vanishes in the hardware manager withing fractions of a second so it doesnt work with the sp Flash , in fastboot it wont let me download to recovery even if i use the command line oem unlock , because the volume up button that you have to use to accept[yes] doesnt work , only the vol down[no ] button has an effect, anyone any ideas anyone?

Please Help: Backing up N5X - Broken Screen
So my screen is unresponsive but I've gotten the OTG to work with my mouse.
I've enabled debugging with my mouse, and when unplug the OTG and I plug into my computer it prompts me to verify it and I have to check another box.
Is there a work around this? Or another way I can pull my files to my computer.
Also, now my phone is starting to flickr and simulate input and its making the mouse really hard to use.

Help, missing permissions in packages.xml for android.media

I'm having a problem were I get this message in logcat:

Corresponding process in question is android.process.media:

I'd like to see what is missing from my file (from some logcat I have found some missing permissions already and adding them manually to the file would fix the FC, but I'd liek to see all the missing permissions at once.

Idk if there is a post on this. But I am currently running CM13 nightly 7/29 and just found out about the different GAPPS packages. I have the GAPPS package. I want to flash Nano GAPPS. Can I just dirty flash it or do I have to wipe my whole device and do it all over again? Thanks for any help

How to disable buttons and division bar?
Hi!!
I've been testing (and making some simple modifications) to a VR Box 2.0 VR goggle. Those modification includes bigger space for my (almost clown) nose. Some support for getting the screen a little up, to center entirely to my line of view.....
My problem, is that the config buttons and the middle line, are too big. So then can be seen in VR... and i want them out!
But the funny thing, is that this problem is not always for all apps. Some apps, like "In Cell" have the perfect size and color. Others, like the config app, the google cardboard, are problematic.
So, is there any way to disable? change their color to black/dark grey? Any idea? Anything?

My problem, is that the config buttons and the middle line, are too big. So then can be seen in VR... and i want them out!
But the funny thing, is that this problem is not always for all apps. Some apps, like "In Cell" have the perfect size and color. Others, like the config app, the google cardboard, are problematic.
So, is there any way to disable? change their color to black/dark grey? Any idea? Anything?

Need quick help
Ok I'm sorry if this is stupid but this is my first root, I just got the acer iconia one 8 (B1-850). I was able to root it with kingoroot and replace their super user app with supersu but I can't seem to get a custom recovery installed that is comparable with it. Also I'm trying to install the xposed framework and I know I need the armv8 version but I don't know which one because I'm still using the stock rom, I would prefer to stick with stock but if I can't can someone link a good one?

LG G4 H815 20c-SEA-XX Marshmallow rooting possible?
So I can't unlock bootloader, can't root it if my bootloader isn't unlocked. So I was thinking if I downgrade to 5.1 using LGUP. Will I be able to root my phone then?

Doogee X5 Pro [Xposed Framework Help]
Right. I have been doing a fair amount of research on how to install the Xposed Framwork. I am running Lolipop 5.1 and I am pretty sure all Doogee X5 Pro's run it. I haven't changed anything to do with the rom and my android is rooted using KingRoot. I only did that because it was easy to do and I didn't want to go through the bother of flashing a nand or anything. I got the installer thinking that would work[This was before I did any research about Xposed] I heard that it allowed you to use a lot of modules and improve the device so I thought.. Why not. this isn't my first time screwing around with nands and stuff with devices.
Anyhow. On to the problem at hand, To start with I think I am on a stock ROM and a lot of people are saying that I am going to need to get a custom ROM. I am not entirely sure what to do there and I am aware that most android devices are different so looking at a tutorial from someone not using the same device as me causes some issues.
I don't know which SDK to get for the framework but after doing a fair amount of looking and finding that I need armv8-a helped out a little but then I got slightly confused with the table that they made on the Xposed Framework Thread. It stated that if I was not on a TW ROM then I would need to check if the /system/lib64/ folder exists and then that would tell me what ROM to get.. SMG935F (S7 Edge UAE) Can it be unlocked and used in the UK?
I know this is kind of a noob question but if I bought the SMG935F S7 Edge from the UAE and brought it back to the UK to be unlocked would it work normally with a UK based Sim card? or would there be some other things I'd have to do? Just making sure before I make a silly mistake and it causes a lot of issues but help is appreciated. Cheers.

Enormous thumbnails on YouTube makes me crazy!!! (PineA64)
Hey guys, hope this is okay to ask.
I just installed the latest Remix OS on my Pine A64.
Using Google Play, I installed the official YouTube app.
But it is impossible to use due to the insanely enormous thumbnails for the videos... the literally take up more than the whole screen.
Is it possible to change to list view or something, or a grid view?
If so, how do I go about doing so?

S5 glitching in and out of monitor mode? or just a patchwork mess?
Im new to all this so pay no attention if its nonsence...
My S5 G900f has a qualcomm snapdragon chipset, that doesn't support monitor mode, which i believe means that it doesnt support packet injections or packet capturing (driver related?)
using the dsploit.apk for things like session hijacking, replacing web page images of a target and using script 'injection' to inject custom java script into a target web page, all sounds like things you'd need monitor mode to do. and if it is then i was able to do it with my S5.
I dont know a lot about coding or how it all fits together and communicates with the hardware, so i may sound completely stupid, but this has done my head in for ages, so why not get it out there.
1. when i attempted to upgrade from my first custom rom, i had a bit of trouble, softbricked my phone and then flashed the two roms in various, alternate, wipe, format and install combinations until it finally booted to set up, and i stopped panicking. but this caused features from the first rom to appear within the second rom.
ie: 3minute battery mod was installed through a add-on zip along with the first rom and nothing to do with the second at all.
2. inconsistencies within the file system, like file names that were apps included with the first rom.
3. dsploit.apk was bugged and crashed every 5 or 10 minutes. then would seem to glitch or stutter for a couple seconds before correcting its self and accomplishing its pen test.
4. i also remember watching green text in the terminal as it failed to connect or ID some part of the system but continued to retry in quick succession until it glitched and worked. (i think this was a similar type of app i was trying out at the same time but instead of GUI stutters, i could see the text rapidly stuttering and glitching.)
4. the dsploit.apk worked for me back then, even though it was temperamental. ive downloaded the apk a couple times since with various roms and ive got no where with it...
was thinking maybe different aspects of the two roms had been filed or grouped together and created unstable triggers within the software, allowing it to briefly communicate with the chipset. i may be way off, but ive been sat here waiting for someone to solve this issue forever, i thought id share my thoughts, on the off chance it turns out to be something and i can finally get my S5 into monitor mode without OTG cables and other unwanted auxiliary components.

Nexus 5X rotation issues in DP5.

Hi,
After upgrading from 5.1 to 6.0 my G4 got some issues.
First of all when i turn it one never turns the creen on. I had to do a work around using the USB cable to get the screen on and that doesn't wark very often eatheir so its preatty annoing.
Second the sim is not working.
I tryed many time to roll back or flash a new firmware but it didnt work.
I also find out when the phone is in download mode that is says LG-H818 but mine is fore sure a H815.
Is it some way to fix it?

I Need Some advice for P7-L10
Hi All hope you doing good.. My phone was working fine but suddenly my battery started to drain like I left it on 40% at night and in morning the phone was out of power and time was 5:00am 1/1/1970 (not used during that time) now it takes even long to fully charge the battery which lasts only 3 or 4 hours max. Everytime it get out of battery it changes date and time so I set it manually or connect to internet so it gets fixed.
Advice me should I replace the battery or it is some issue with some chip of board or someother issue?

I think i bricked my new Samsung S7 edge help please ;_;
So i was rooting my phone with TMWP then my phone was encrypted so i used Odin with an original AP of my samsung device
in the progress of doing that i canceled the progress.
so now i keep getting An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch Pc software. so i did that but now i am at this step, telling me to put the phone in recovery mode but when i try to do that it keeps giving me the same error (An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch Pc software.)
Im freaking out right now if you guys could help PLEASE.

Fastest way to get new security updates? Stock or Cyanogenmod?
Hey all,
what is the fastest way to get security updates for the Nexus 5X? Who is faster at integrating them, Google with their stock ROMs or Cyanogenmod?
I am asking because I read that OEMs are informed by Google about one month before the security updates are rolled out. So e.g. Cyanogenmod could roll them faster than Google itself.
Anyone knows how to check when Cyanogenmod integrated security updates? E.g. for the July security upgrade, when was it rolled out by Google and when was it rolled out by Cyanogenmod?

[Help] Nook HD touch screen constantly being touched
Hey guys, this is a weird error that just started for no reason that I can think of. I had the latest nightly build on my Nook HD when all of a sudden various parts of the screen would just be auto tapping. I tried restarting multiple times, I even went for a factory reset but ended up simply flashing TWRP on it and flashing the latest AOSP Rom.
The problem is, when I load over to TWRP, I'm still getting these touch errors. Does that mean that it's something hardware wise that was broken? Does anyone have any advice on what to do next?

Force 2D GPU REDENRING- developer settings benefit with adreno 510
Hey guys, I recently purchased the Xperia X and ive been playing around with the developer options on marshmallow. I noticed the 2d gpu rendering makes use of the adreno 510 more efficiently because the gpu uses less power compared to the cpu cores, ive gained around 2-3 hours of battery along with much faster and smoother UI across all form of apps.
However, I need some people to test this more often to really see more benefits

Accidently wiped all data + system and everything using TWRP
I accidently wiped all data + system and everything using TWRP and now i can only go into TWRP recovery. I tried to flash stock rom using TWRP and it says successful, but when i press reboot system it says "No OS installed" . My device is Sony Xperia Z3 D6603. :rolleyes: . * Since my device (A700L) doesn't have any custom recoveries, I can only make a .tar file. Flash the kernel.tar using Odin tool. p.s I need a CWM or Philz recovery...:crying:
1. Install Samsung usb driver
2. Install Odin tool, reboot your device into download mode, make sure your device is connected to PC.
3. Flash the kernel (Odin-AP-select kernel.tar, check Auto reboot and F. Reset Time, Don't check other options)
4. Wait for boot complete (less than about 30sec), Enjoy :)
- How to back to stock kernel? : Download stock Kernel.tar-Flash the kernel using Odin tool-Copy and paste stock modules (/system/lib/modules/) from stock firmware.

VoLTE support in Mi 4i
hello friends.
As we all know Reliance jio has started its 4g service in all over India, But as owner of Xiaomi Mi 4i we can't make call with reliance jio we can only use data service, As Reliance jio supports calling over VoLTE only, and our Mi4i doesn't support that.
we are requesting Xiaomi for this but it looks like they are no more intrested in Mi 4i.
so i am requesting if any developer could make VOLTE.(voice over LTE) update/patch/config....for our phone Mi 4i.
No custom, stock rom have VoLTE for our Mi 4i.
Some users will suggest Jio join app , for now it is working well.
but needs data all the time, we can't make voice call without data on this app. so we need VoLTE config in our OS..
i am not forcing anyone, but if anyone can do something about it please give it a try....

As we all know Reliance jio has started its 4g service in all over India, But as owner of Xiaomi Mi 4i we can't make call with reliance jio we can only use data service, As Reliance jio supports calling over VoLTE only, and our Mi4i doesn't support that.
we are requesting Xiaomi for this but it looks like they are no more intrested in Mi 4i.
so i am requesting if any developer could make VOLTE.(voice over LTE) update/patch/config....for our phone Mi 4i.
No custom, stock rom have VoLTE for our Mi 4i.
Some users will suggest Jio join app , for now it is working well.
but needs data all the time, we can't make voice call without data on this app. so we need VoLTE config in our OS..
i am not forcing anyone, but if anyone can do something about it please give it a try....

Phone randomly shuts down and loses all battery
I own a Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 and i've got a problem with it. for the past 3 weeks, it randomly shuts down, and drains all it's battery, and won't start until i plug the charger in it, after that, the battery goes up instantly to somewhere between 70%-100%, and then i can open it without any problems, then. it works for a couple of mins and it happens again. I even did a factory reset but the problem persists .

While trying to enter in recover mode, the screen turns hazy and freezes.
I am using a Micromax Canvas HD A116i. I rooted the device properly using KingoRoot.
While trying to flash a new ROM using Mobileuncle tools, the recovery mode won't come up properly.
The device gets stuck on the boot logo screen after trying to reboot normally and also wont go into recovery as the screen pixelates into lines and becomes hazy.
I tried to go into recovery using adb; all in vain.
Please help me.

External speaker just squawks
I recently replaced the screen on my Nexus 5x after the screen was broken (not by me). The screen replacement seemed to go fine. I experienced no problems, everything came apart and went back together exactly as expected and the new screen works perfectly.
Unfortunately, the external speaker no longer works. Whatever I have done is in connection with the motherboard not the rest of the phone. I had another 5x and I was able to swap motherboards. The other phone with my motherboard squawked and my phone with the other motherboard was fine.
Now everything works on my phone except the external speaker which just makes a squawking static sound, sometimes it happens even when I wouldn't expect the phone to be making any sounds at all. Has anyone else encountered anything like this? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might have done?

I just updated to M1D63G via Xperia Companion.

Have to flash SU systemless
It seems there would be a problem in flashing normal downloaded SU and have to go through the long process of flashing systemless SU after which have to upgrade it.

Lockscreen Camera and Gallery like iOS on CM13?
One of the few things I like about iPhone is its integration of lockscreen and camera.
On an iPhone, I can swipe up on the lockscreen to open camera. I can also view photos that are taken during that session without unlocking the phone.
On CM13, I can also swipe up on the lockscreen to open camera, but I have to unlock the phone in order to access the gallery. What's worse is that if I keep the gallery opened when I lock the phone, I can no longer access the camera from lockscreen. When I swipe up the camera shortcut, the lockscreen will get stuck (i.e. no shortcut, no unlock pattern), and I have to turn the screen off and on again to unlock.
I think some brands actually implement lockscreen camera in the same way as iOS. I wonder if I can achieve the same on CM13.

Can't move apps to SD
Hi guys I was just having a problem regarding my 32Gb Lexar SD card speed class 10.
I recently flashed PAC ROM the latest nightly with GApps 5.0 pico and ever since I am having troubles with my SD card. I am unable to move any apps tommy SD card it says I don't have any storage left on it when it is virtually empty! It is fat32 the default which worked and I tried other formats too.
I tried using link2sd but when I try it it says [INSTALL_FAILED_CONTAINER_ERROR]
Please help it's been bugging me for a while now

What is the most stable rom for kenzo?
Hi, I'm new with the redmi note 3 pro (kenzo) and I don't know what rom to flash on it.

How to I install custom ROMs on the Nexus 5X?
Like I remember reading something about flashing factory images first them installing the ROM, I'm getting confused coming from an LG G3. On G3 it was just root, flash TWRP, then flash ROM of choice. But with Nexus 5X it's a lot more complicated. Can someone give me a detailed way of properly flashing a custom ROM?

Ugly Call Screen Help
I am on Sultanxda's CM13 rom + kernel and am having a great experience performance and battery wise, but this is something strange, the caller screen that comes when you call somebody or receive a call . Its ugly and its green. I tried installing google dialer from playstore but still no effect. Refer screenshot.:crying::crying:

Just thought I'd put this up because I find the stock headphones volume way too low on my Qualcomm S7E.
TO MAKE HEADPHONES LOUDER:
- the mixer_paths.xml is set up different on our SD820 S7/S7E, so here's how to make headphone volume louder, if you're so inclined.
- usually the file is located at /system/etc, though I have both /root/etc and /system/etc, and I needed to edit /root/etc to make it stick.
The file you need to modify is mixer_paths_tasha.xml. In there, look for the following code snippet:

Question about S7 edge video recording FPS
Hi all,
I have been tinkering with filming on my S7 edge recently and discovered some discrepancies regarding the S7 edge video recording fps.
I shot 3 FHD (standard/30fps) video and 3 FHD (60fps) and played back on my macbook pro via Quicktime.
I noticed that for the 3 FHD (standard/30fps) videos, the frame rates displayed on Quicktime movie inspector are 23.96fps, 23.97fps and 24fps instead of 30fps.
Then i checked the 3 FHD (60fps) videos. The frame rates displayed on Quicktime movie inspector are 59.96fps, 59.97fps and 60.07fps instead of 60fps.
I compared the results to the videos shot at 24fps using my Canon 70D. 3 videos @ 24fps consistently showed frame rate of 23.98fps on Quicktime movie inspector.
So i am wondering, why does the video recording fps of S7 vary by so much? Is it software or hardware issue?

Those who flashed radio.zip....
It's a known fact that VoLTE is not supported in any custom ROM for this device as of now. I saw some people saying that flashing the radio zip enable the "Enhance 4g Mode" in settings. I'm on slim ROM without any radio files. If you have flashed the files and see that option, please let me know. Because I don't wanna fix anything that is not broken.
BTW, what does the radio file contains? MM Bootloader? And if I flash it, will I be able to go back to MIUI 8 global(5.1) backup that I made with TWRP without any issues. Your help will be appreciated.

So ... i need your help to do that

Fitbit working?
Hi I have a P9 Lite but that forum section is totally dead. I ordered a new Fitbit Alta and it works on my Motorola X Play. However on my P9 Lite, the app barely ever even sees my Fitbit Alta... when it does the furthest it gets is showing a pin on the Fitbit. I put this pin in the app and it just errors out.
I've got a feeling it's something to do with BLE. Fitbit totally unhelpful and suggest using a different phone.. Or my pc.
So two questions...
1. Does anyone else have this issue on either P9 or Lite too?
2. Is there anything I can do as a rooted user who is comfortable with changing system files?

As I have professional soldering skills/tool (even for BGA), and good Linux / kernel / driver skills, but nothing on Android (except modifying small programs and follow tutorial to install custom roms), I'm wondering if it is feasible to simply solder this sensor to the Galaxy Tab Mother board and directly have the compass feature in Android apps.
The requested actions I identified:
1. identify and order the sensor
2. Identify the I2C bus on Galaxy Tab A motherboard, plus power and ground signals
3. Identify a place to solder the sensor without risk to prevent casing mounting
4. Solder
5. be sure that the stock kernel supports this driver
6. Be sure that the driver is embedded in the kernel or the module is loaded
I'm wondering if someone with android and hardware experiences could help me to:
- tell me if this idea is totally crazy or seem feasible
- tell me if I identify the good tasks
- to find informations for some of the tasks (specially locate the I2C bus on motherboard)

MSM8994DownloadTool.exe Won't Work For My OPT
MSM8994DownloadTool.exe Won't Work For Me
I need help.
My phone is stuck on the fastboot screen, meaning I can only Power if off and into Fastboot (using the Vol+ and Power buttons). Other than that, it does nothing. I cannot get into the OS at all, which means I can't enable USB debugging or anything. Fastboot recognizes my device, which is a OnePlus Two), but ADB won't, nor will my Windows 7 PC as a USB device. With that in mind, I followed all the steps in the posted guide. I get all the way to running the "MSM8994DownloadTool.exe" and nothing happens. Its as if the Recovery Tool doesn't even see my device. So, I'm really stuck and don't know what to do.
For clarity, here's exactly what I did (see below). I get all the way to Section B, Step 2 and that's where it breaks down. There's no different line, and no process ever runs, even after waiting 30 minutes. I ran the tool as Administrator, but still no luck. Can anyone help me? A. Install the Certificates followed by the Qualcomm drivers.

2. Open the folder "qc" and install the Test Certificate in the following Stores: Trusted Root, Trusted Publisher, Third-Party Root and Personal
3. Run the Qualcomm setup wizard (also located in the qc folder)
4. When completed, restart your PC again with Driver Signature Enforcement Disabled (Advanced Startup)
5. Turn off your phone and disconnect the USB cable from the phone.
6. Hold vol-up and plug in the USB(Do not press Power button). The screen will stay black but you will hear a sound from windows that a device is attached.

NON Full Screen Tempered Glass screen protectors
This is a thread ONLY for Non Full Screen Tempered glass screen protectors. We all realize they will not protect the entire screen but still give adequate protection but feel.like a naked screen. For the reasons below I started this thread.
It doesn't seem possible that any company can produce a curved full screen protector that doesn't have any or all of the following: halo effects, touch screen issues, lifting with a case, loss of touch sensitivity, glass clicking when typing etc.
Please provide a review on installation, how it fits, fingerprint resistance, typing sensitivity, sun/light glare, is touch sensitivity good at the edge of the glass, etc for your NON full screen Tempered Glass screen protectors Only.

Samsung GT-I9195 vibrating twice then bootlooping
Hello sorry if this problem have been posted before,
I am trying to get a Samsung S4 MINI GT-I9195 to work it was working fine then all of a sudden it went dead and would not boot up
after awhile I was able to get it in boot recovery with the Samsung jig
and able to flash it with three different stock roms using Odin which went perfect, but still the phone
will not boot up, it keep vibrating twice then Samsung logo screen will appear and repeat for ever, can anyone help? thanks in advance

This is mod I use on my LG V10.
Package was originally created as an add-on for Eliminater74's Rom.
I just ported it over as a flashable zip for my use but I figured I'd share.
Put zip on your external sd card and flash from twrp.
You will get a few "BlackBerry services not working " in the beginning but they will soon go away after some usage. These apps were on the BlackBerry Priv and are pretty useful especially the Hub. If there are some apps you don't like, just uninstall or freeze with titanium backup.

I live in norway but i bought my xperia z3 compact (D5833) on ebay (from china). All seems to be great but i get programm and system updates all the time. I have upgradet as i was asked to do at least 3-4 times, but as soon as one upgrade is done the next one comes up? It sais version 23.5.A.0.575 android programm update this time. Is this the latest one? Is it usual one have to upgrade several times after receiving a new cell phone? it uses android 5.1.1 thanks for reply, regards, Rianna

blown away with the sprint version - got it unlocked and all sim are working
yesterday I got the S7 from a guy for the price of $420 sprint locked and sealed.
i got 2 sims. VZW and AT&T.
i went ahead and order the $7 unlock from ebay and texted him after i follow the requirements which is from PE1 downgrade to PC5. in less than 5mins the phone was unlocked as i can see him working remotely. putting my VZW and AT&T sim will not work even you factory reset. quite frustrating right? so what i did is load this

every sim you switch it will ask to restart then the phone will automatically configured. no need to add APN

Help please, can someone explain this in layman terms
I am enclosing some code from an app I found on my phone. It is from the manifest.xml file. Please could you help me decipher it... I suspect it may have been used surreptitiously to activate my phones mobile hotspot. [Q] Restore Original IMEI LG P715
It was long before I have rooted my mobile and flashed various KDZ through flash tool and flashed many custom roms. Some how my IMEI has changed long before itself, but I didn't cared much of it since everything was ok. But now I just wondering if there is any way to restore my original IMEI.
There was guide for restoring IMEI after brick by @neutrondev that was only for SINGLE SIM version, Can anyone help to Restore IMEI of DUEL SIM version of L7 II or Anyone have duel_sim.qcn file? :rolleyes:

What, if any phone, would you change your S7 for?
Currently awaiting Elephone's to be launched flagship Edge phone and LG'S V20 later in the year. Perhaps a S8 if changes are sufficient enough?
I don't think either of the first two will feature weather resistance but nothing else out there at present I'm interested in. Very happy with the S7E.

Phone dead after installing ROM - Elephone p9000
Hello,
Today I downloaded a few stock roms and I installed them with SP flash tool smoothly without any issue. In the end I installed again the latest stock rom but this time my phone went dead, the screen is black and my pc doesn't recognise the device.
Also, I opened the cover and removed the battery without any luck.
Please help me! :'(

Is this phone worth it?
My LG G3's screen is now on the fritz.
Looking to replace my phone since my carrier no longer has them and is offering me a Galaxy S5 instead (yuck).
For those of us in the US on T-Mobile, is it worth getting the 64GB international model of the Honor 7 or wait until Honor 8 comes out in a few weeks?

Problem while compiling recovery
So I just started developing a recovery for a phone that has no support from any other developers, and basically I need to do all the stuff from 0. I follow some guides, I read some forums on the internet and hope I can make it (it's my first time developing something for Android). But for now I have this problem and I can't find it anywhere along with the proper solution (maybe I haven't searched enough). Every time I type make recoveryimage in the terminal, it is working for like 30 seconds, and then a error like this appears:
(In my noobness) I tried to delete all the files that generates the error, in this case, gethnamaddr.o, but there are too much files, and I don't even know why I need to delete every single file that ends with *.o extension and if it's a good solution. I saw that everytime I delete a file that returns an error, the file is generated again, but after it's generated, it won't return any error. So I tought that maybe the *.o files are corrupt, and "make" generates them correctly.
Now that I told you the story, I'm asking:
Is it normal that I have so many errors because of *.o files?
How can I solve it?

( Boost mobile) tip on how to fix hotspot connection to windows 10 laptop
Go to google play and download foxfi and run it and select turn on hot spot and it will turn on and you can test the connection to youre computer cause foxfi free version has a download limit of like 25 mb... if you get the foxfi key it gives you unlimited data as a hotspot and it doesnt count towards youre plans wifi hotspot plan... it will allow you to connect youre windows 10 laptop to youre phones wifi hotspot.. this tip was pulled from android forums which is my post there but i cant post links here cause you need 10 posts in to post links..

Lollipop and cached processes -- should they cached, can't understand...
Using my LG GPAD 7.0 on latest stock ROM (Lollipop, rooted by kingroot) i see one annoing thing: when i switch between apps, even though to basic lock screen and unlock to app, it seems like app starts agan, not just unfreezed and instantly showed last state. I.e. page in browser is reloaded, session in online banking is restarted, book in reader is reloaded with some delay... On my prev. Motorola Droid2 with Android 2.2.3 switching between apps was smooth -- apps seems to be cached and when i switch back to prev app, it show previous state without any time delay and signs of restarting.
Is this situation normal for Lollipop? May it be problem of some settings, or it because of kingroot, or maybe it's a nuances only of this ROM?

Xposed 6.0.1 bootloop
Ok, so im running the MOAR 4.1 rom and have been trying to flash the latest Arm64 zip of Xposed and it always puts me into a bootloop. Ive tried several attempts including redownloading the file thinking it might have been corrupt but still just bootloops until I recover my rom. Anyone have any luck getting it to work?
