About this kernel

Hello all, this kernel is compatible with official Samsung firwares for Galaxy A7 2015 series. (SM-A700S/K/L/FD/0 - msm8939)
The goal of this project is to build a 'Stable & Stadard' well modified kernel. I 'm going to add various interesting features, governor profiles and latest linux kernel features in order to improve user experience. However, I will not add any experimental features such as unstable over clocking, under voltage, fast charging rate, etc. The kernel (A700L) has been tested on my A7 device (SM-A700L) before it is uploaded. Please report any bugs or issues that you've encountered.


Compatibility

- SM-A700S/K/L : for Samsung Lollipop 5.0.2 PB4 based firmware - Confirmed
- SM-A700FD : for Samsung Marshmallow 6.0.1 PF4 based firmware - Under construction
- SM-A7000: for Samsung Lollipop 5.0.2 PB1 based firmware - Not confirmed, need your test

How to flash

* Since my device (A700L) doesn't have any custom recoveries, I can only make a .tar file. Flash the kernel.tar using Odin tool. p.s I need a CWM or Philz recovery...:crying:

1. Install Samsung usb driver
2. Install Odin tool, reboot your device into download mode, make sure your device is connected to PC.
3. Flash the kernel (Odin-AP-select kernel.tar, check Auto reboot and F. Reset Time, Don't check other options)
4. Wait for boot complete (less than about 30sec), Enjoy :)
- How to back to stock kernel? : Download stock Kernel.tar-Flash the kernel using Odin tool-Copy and paste stock modules (/system/lib/modules/) from stock firmware.
