Should I root my S6? No warranty then

Hi

So I really want to root my S6 because the battery sucks and I want to install some Xposed stuff...
But the problem is that I'm on 5.1.1, so I can't root it without tripping the KNOX count.

I have asked Samsung about it and they say that it will void my warranty :(
So I'm still considering to root it or not.

If for example my camera doesn't work anymore, I have to pay to fix it.

What would you guys do?

Sprint LTE band priority help

Does anyone with a 6p on sprint know how to set the band priority? I dial *#*#3282#*#* and it opens the data menu. I tap LTE, then edit, enter my MSL, but band priority is not in the menu. But if I tap view instead of edit (which doesn't require the MSL) I can see band priority in the menu. Does anyone know what the deal is with that?

block gesture touch events on MARSHMALLOW

I use immersive mode and if you have searched this thread I guess you do too. Marshmallow have removed block gesture touch events from developer settings so the only way around this that I know of is to install an app called 'All in one gestures'

The new version of the app does not block gesture touch events however an older version that I use does. This is the official .apk from the play store copied from data/app quite some time ago. It still works perfectly fine with MM, I've had zero issues with it. All you need to do is install it, open the options/switch ui/3. Advanced UI (12 triggers) then once that's selected enable it it will ask for SU grant it. Then enable a gesture from the top, you can either enable a 'right swipe' gesture and set it as what ever you like so swiping down still works or you can download an app called 'absolutely nothing' from the play store and enable it to do that.

After setting the gesture you need to go into settings and enable start on boot, feedback type to nothing, edge preference needs to be set so height is at 100% and then set transparency and you're all set, you have blocked gesture touch events in Marshmallow :D

Here is All in one gestures that I use as you cannot get the old version from the playstore any more or you could download it from another source if you like, the version I use is 2.5 I don't know what other versions block touch events so use that one :)

So can i use Flashify to flash TWRP from the thread and be done with it? Or has the game changed with lollipop and this can not be done this way?

Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter with OTG Lag problem?

I bought a OTG Y Cable and tried using this with my Xbox 360 wireless controller adapter, first by plugging the power in, putting the micro usb in the tab and THEN the 360 receiver into the OTG and IT WORKED FOR CHARGING WOO.

However As i started my emulaters I noticed a big lag (Super Mario World the character would jump only slightly and couldnt move much only slight jolts right and left when I pressed those buttons), so i un-Plugged the cable, tried my other OTG (regular not Y) suddenly the same lag! so i restarted the tab and tried using my regular otg it was much better but the lag returned at some point (not as much at all but still noticeable). I unplugged everything (otg etc) and left it alone for a while and tried it again later with the regular otg cable and now slight lag eventually comes only in the NES emu! lmao

Do you think the OTG Y Cable might have done it? what if the power that was coming in from the charger area somehow messed with the power that went out to the xbox 360 receiver and damaged the receiver. is this possible? Weird thing i tried the receiver on my laptop later on and it was no lag! lmao. sorry again just wondering if anyone has any idea whats going on before I decide to buy a new xbox 360 receiver. ill try it again later. One person suggested wifi off as wifi might be interfering but this hasnt happened before ill still try that later tho.

Can't connect any multiplayer game

Hello Guys..
I install CM 12.1 nightly on my XSP..
My mobile is very fast now.. Everything is good but today when I install Clash of clans. I cant connect on their server it stucked on loading screen.. then download hayday and world cricket championship 2.. Same problem again I cant login any of them.. always stucked on "connecting to server"..
But when I tried on my sister's S4 it connects instantly but not on my XSP..
Is my mobile bugged? or CM 12.1?
Can anyone tell me fix of this problem?

[MOD][XPOSED][5.0+] Xperia Camera Enhancements

Various mods for the stock camera app of Sony Xperia devices.

For now, this module consists of two mods:

• Let the user choose which gallery app gets opened by the camera
• Keep Geo-Tags setting ON

Note 1: This module has alpha-status. For now, it doesn't allow any settings. Expect a settings page soon in an upcoming release to switch on or off the two hacks implemented till now in this module.

Note 2: Tested on my Z1 Compact. Chances are good that it works well with other Xperia devices, as far as they have the same camera app. I would appreciate your feedback :)

MOD #1: Let the user choose which gallery app gets opened by the camera

In the latest Lollipop releases for the Xperia Z1 Compact and other Xperia Z devices, it is not possible anymore to choose which gallery app is used when you tap on the small picture thumbnail in the camera UI. It will always open the Sony Album app. But some people, like me, dislike the Sony Album app and prefer to use alternatives like Quickpic or others.

With this mod, the camera app lets you choose again which gallery app to use when you tap on the thumbnail. Even better, it lets you choose different apps for normal JPEG photos and some special formats, like timeshift pictures or sound photos. For those kind of pictures, it is still advisable to use the Album app which supports the features of those formats (like playing sound on a picture).

The mod has been implemented to work in the following camera modes (each of them has a separate implementation for launching the gallery and had to be hacked separatedly:

• Superior Auto
• Manual
• Background Defocus
• AR-Effect
• Panorama
• Creative Effect
• Sound Photo
• Timeshift burst

In other camera modes, the camera will possibly still always use the Album app.

If it does not work and you do not get asked which app to use, try to clear the defaults of the gallery app that gets opened by default!

MOD #2: Keep Geo-Tags setting ON

This mod prevents a very annoying behavior of the stock camera app. Whenever you switch the camera to another mode than superior auto or manual, it will set the Geo-Tags setting to OFF, if GPS has been disallowed in the system-wide android settings. It will stay OFF in all camera modes until you set it to ON manually again, even if GPS has been allowed again in the system settings. The result of this behavior is that most of the pictures I made with my phone lack the location tag, although I never disabled the geo tags intentionally in the camera settings.

This mod prevents this behavior, the Geo-Tags setting will stay set to ON until you deliberately disable it. Geo-Tag setting can be switched on or off independantly from the location settings in android.

help!!! i can't install custom recovery on samsung grand 2

I tried so many times to install custom recovery on this phone but with no luck to get it to work...when installing with odin everything is good i get no errors or any thing bad just when the phone restarts and tries to acess custom recovery the phone restarts again...every time i try to acess the custom recovery the phone restarts again...i have to flash my original frimware again to get acess to the original recovery...i'm still on android 4.3 and did not upgrade so if anyone can help...i'll really appreciate it :)

Radio Drops

I've heard of people having these issues a lot before but never ran into it myself.

I just got my replacement Nexus 6P setup. Flashed all the factory images, the systemless root boot.img and SuperSu 2.56 -- exactly the same as my old device.

Only now for some reason my cellular radio drops all the time, it especially seems to happen when I start using it after idling for a bit. It cuts out, goes to the hollow bars on the signal, then slowly comes back on and connects to LTE.

Any idea why this is happening? What I can do to troubleshoot or fix it?

Redmi 1S can't root and update MiUI

Tried change recovery to twrp, to original but newer, but get ing error of low disk space....
Tried to root by update by update.zip, but get error "Invalid OTA package, missing scatter"...
Tried by fastboot and adb but get "low disk space" error.

Yea It's The Wrong Section, Did Not Have Enough Posts To Share It In The Dev Forums.

Was having the issue of really low volume on my Z5 Premium (E6853) on FW 32.A.6.170.

Went tweaking the audio mixer for louder volume (Thanks AndroPlus For The Kernel For Root Access).

Figures that I shared it with the community, hope this helps with the low volume output of the Z5 Premium.

This Mod Only Increases The Headphone Volumes By Well Significantly.

Tested On - E6853 On FW 32.A.6.170 Rom Aiur (Ps. Untested On Z5 or Z5C If Your Intending To Flash It On Those Devices Mentioned, Create A Nandroid Backup First At The Least)

Max brightness on unlock

Ever since updated to the Nov 1st update. When I turn my screen on there is a 1 in 3 chance that the screen will be at max brightness. The only way to fix it is to wait 5 seconds or turn the screen back on then on. Anyone else seeing this?

Cant Get Back to TWRP After Bad Flash

I flashed the latest version of Xenon HD 11-26 for my D852 and it gave me an error on reboot from TWRP saying that root wasnt there anymore and to reapply root, I said yes and reboot and now I cant get back into TWRP at all.

Im not sure if Im doing the back buttons right, but Im kinda starting to panic and Im not sure what to do since the phone wont boot to an OS now for me to try and use the software to reboot back into recovery.

Any sort of guidance would be extremely appreciated.

Need help with reverse tethering

I have a Pumpkin model KD-C0109-US-A single DIN RK3188 800x600. I would like to use my cell phone to provide a network connection to my HU through USB reverse tethering. The cell phone connects and shows itself as tethered but the HU does not show any network connection. Pumpkin customer service says that reverse tethering is not supported. They suggest using wi-fi hotspot from the cell. I would prefer hard wire through USB so that the phone would be powered while using it as an internet source. The reverse tethering apps have not worked. Is there a firmware upgrade or other work around that will un-cripple the HU and make reverse tethering possbile? Has anyone had success with this? I would also be interested in learning about tried-but-failed approaches to avoid repeating mistakes.

supersu binary update failed

:confused:I am new here, I have just root my asus zenfone 5 . And accidentally opened king root and phone rooted again. And when i opened super su it was showing error "binary not updated" and then i cross checked on root checker app it is showing "phone not rooted properly "(before it had been shown "phone rooted properly) plz help...

Failed to mount /Cache Nexus 7 (2013) Help!

Hi Everyone,

I am stuck, I have exhausted all options I know and searched thru the internet and nothing that has helped me, so I am posting my problem here.

I have Nexus 7 (2013) LTE version, Its completely stock, locked bootloader and stock rom. My parents use it.
On try to start the tablet it stays stuck with Google written on the screen, I went into the recovery, The cache partition is not mounting

this is the message on the screen

It no longer has warranty

I tried to unlock the bootloader so I could flash the rom, but the moment it just shows the message when you first unlock the bootloader...
on the computer it shows erasing userdata and stays stuck there for a long time and it times out. I cant flash a new rom as the bootloader is locked.
I tried to sideload thats not working.
I have a feeling EMMC is gone.

Can I buy the main board and fix this? Or anything else that I can do?

MY tab s is very SLOWWWW

i have the tab s t700
rom: Touchwiz Detox 3.0 + some tab s2 mods
kernel: stock
rooted of course

i installed gta san andread and it laggs like hell on low settings... even my galaxy s2 can handle this much better
i managed the same on gta vice city also
the device itself does not feel slow its all ok

any ideas what i can do? wouldnt like to flash CM or aosp... :/

(WIP) The complete guide to fixing all problems with your Xperia Z

Hello.

This guide will(, when it is completed) explain what you need to to to get all the issues with the Xperia Z fixed.
The end result will be a properly working phone running the newest official firmware.

Before we begin, i would like to suggest a better alternative.
The Xperia Z is considered a legacy device by Sony now. There are quite a few hardware features missing compared to previous and newer sony models. Not everything can be fixed with software unfortunately.

The best thing you could do right now is replace your Z with a Z5. If the Z5 is too pricey the Z3 is also a great choice.

Now then if you still want to fix up your Xperia Z keep reading.

problems that cannot be fixed:
ANT+ (the chipset does not have ANT hardware)
Manual camera controls
Advanced display calibration through Kcal

Problems that can be fixed but require hardware:
Display quality: Replacing the factory plastic screen foil with hardened glass protector will improve the clarity and color quality
Battery life: Replacing the battery with a new one.
Waterproofing on ports: Replacing the port covers with new ones.
Provider connection and quality issues: Replacing the simcard with a new one

One A9 vs. One M9 at the same price

Today HTC's got a 40% off sale for the M9, the second they've had in recent weeks, so it looks like they are really trying to move it. I have an A9 and like it pretty well, but at $390 (US), how do users that have had both feel the A9 stacks up. I'm coming from the M7 and am enjoying the camera upgrade and better screen, but miss the speakers and HDMI out, though not enough to spend and extra $250 on the M9 at full price.

I'm following the threads on the camera over on the M9 forums and people are doing cool things, so I'm torn on returning this for the M9 on sale.

How do people that have made the jump feel?

8Request] Yarvik 260 offical ICS fw update, tab no longer supported by Yarvik

I'd be very happy and thankful for this. Found an fw for getting Google Play on the device, but can't use the image due to the update link is dead due to it's 3 years ago and I don't have nor can get the official ICS upgrade anywhere(Yarvik has removed everything with old devices). Yeah, it's a cheap crappy device, easier to throw it in the bin and get a new, but this one is brand new(never used, got lost at work), got it for free and I just need it for my kid to play games.

2. The only changes the Theme makes is to the System Folder

I added a new bootanimation and new sounds for the Xmas season. So before flashing:
--- make sure the bootanimation in TM Settings is set to default, if you don't want it then just use a RootExplorer and go to Root>System>media and delete bootanimation.zip
--- make sure Boot Sounds are enabled, go to TM Settings>Sound Mods>System sound toggles>Boot Sounds
--- make sure Lock Screen sounds are enabled, go to Settings>Sounds and Notifications>Other Sounds> and check Screen Lock sound
--- I added about 10 new notification and Ringtone sounds so please check them out

Help with Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Straight Talk SM-S820L

Hi sorry to ask such noob questions but I have just purchased my first Samsung device the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-S820L Straight Talk and I am trying to figure out how to create or get a copy of a stock recovery image it is my understanding that this model is fairly new so there is not much around specific to his model of phone and I have only manged to find a handful of posts on this device, what I need to do is make a stock recovery img then root then install xposed framework so that I can change the "Rom Status" on my phone back to "official" after root changes it to "custom" so that I can still recieve the OTA lollipop update when it is sent out, but to do this I need a recovery first in case any issues arrive any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I have been researching this whole thing for days to no avail and would really like to get this done, thanks so much for your help in advance and again sorry for the noobish post.

3g/4g auto drain my battery !!!

Hi all. I've a probleme with my g2. When i choose the 3g/4g auto it eat my battery life even if i'm on wifi. I use 4g only if i need it and i desactivat it when i finish, but when i lock my phone i lose 1% every 20mn (4g off). When i change to 3g only the stand by is allonged, i lost 1% every 1h30 or 2h always 3g off. I've tested with stock kitkat with stock lp and now with cloudy 2.2.
I use granify and i don't have any app who drain my battery. The only thing is 3g/4g auto.
Any suggestions ?

Review of iClever Portable Bluetooth Speaker w/pictures

This is my review of a bluetooth speaker from the company iClever - http://ift.tt/1GLSivX

So I've reviewed many bluetooth speakers in the past but I've never really found any specific Bluetooth speakers that I've used a lot and that's very compact, but recently I managed to get my hands on an iClever IC-BTS02 speaker. It's much smaller than most speakers I've found so I was pretty excited about it. Let's jump right into the review, shall we?

The product itself comes in a small neat little box with the essential product information on it, and inside the box you can find a MicroUSB & audio cable, along with the speaker itself. The accessories is of acceptable quality but they're not the best I've ever seen bundled with a speaker, but at this price point it's not a deal breaker.
So when it comes to the speaker itself it actually feel super solid and have a zinc alloy housing that look stylish, but attracts a lot finger prints. On the top is the actual speaker driver and at the bottom there's buttons for controlling the music playback. The buttons feel a bit misplaced as they could've placed them somewhere else, as you have to lift up the speaker and then press the button to change track.

The sound quality of the speaker is actually very decent for its small size it offers distortion free audio with a bit of bass, along with decent treble that doesn't overpower the rest of the sound. It's pretty balanced, but the bass is a little bit boosted compared to a 100% natural speaker. The speaker also offer decent quality in phone calls, but it's far from ideal to use it for this purpose.

Pros:
- Decent audio quality that's sort of balanced
- Good build quality that feels solid and looks stylish
- Affordable

Cons:
- The buttons at the bottom

Bricked My Zenfone 6 A601CG

Hello guys.

I have a zenfone 6 (WW A601CG), I tried to upgrade to 5.0, but he was in a state "Bricked" I tried to use xFSTK, but he resumes all status the "IFWI" process, i tried to use "adb", but does not recognize my phone,i can't move from black screen, when tried connect USB on my PC it recognizes only a "cloverviewPlus driver" driver, this driver keeps me hope that it is possible to resurrect my phone and not have to arrange for the service technical.

Some kind soul would be willing to help me? I'm already desperate without what to do to fix this. :(

Need Help Installing an OS!

I accidentally wiped everything on my phone so I have no OS nor any backups or OS zip files I can flash. I still have TWRP as recovery and I'm still unlocked. I thought I could hook it up to my computer and add a zip file to flash but it doesn't do anything when I plug it in. Any help would be appreciated.

No Wi-Fi on Nexus 5 - on any version of Android

The Wi-Fi on my wife's unrooted Nexus 5 (Sprint version) which was upgraded (via OTA) to Marshmallow last month suddenly stopped working last week. The slider would get hung while moving from Off to On (like it was trying to turn on) and therefore was not detecting any available Wi-Fi signals.

After trying many things, I eventually did the extreme and did a full factory data reset. No dice. Still not detecting anything.

Figuring it might be an OS issue with Marshmallow (given we're seeing a lot of forums indicating Nexus 5 issues based on Wi-Fi with both Marshmallow and Lollipop), we downgraded the OS first to Lollipop and then all the way back to KitKat (4.4). Still not working. At initial phone setup, the phone is not detecting any available WiFi signals and gets hungup trying to find networks for me to choose from - so I end up having to skip this step.

Any other tips out there on what I can try? Is this a sure sign of hardware problems? Don't think my wife's phone is under warranty any longer (have had it slightly over a year, I think).

PS - Now I can no longer even upgrade the phone (OTA, at least) from 4.4.4 because my phone is saying it needs Wi-Fi to download the update - with no option to do it over my data plan.

NSTV Remote Control is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Use AFTV remote instead?

The Nvidia Shield TV remote is a huge disappointment! It doesn't have a BACK button, a HOME button or a MENU button! The main reason why I wanted a remote was to use it with Kodi. Has anyone tried pairing an Amazon Fire TV remote to their Nvidia Shield TV? Have you tried it using it with Kodi?

[HELP]Black Screen on VK810

I'm not that familiar with LG devices (usually messing with Samsung) so hope I didn't just brick this thing. The device is a VK810 and before flashing was rooted w/stock 4.4.2 on it and stock recovery. Installed TWRP, performed wipes of system, data, internal, and format in preparation for new rom. Then flashed this stock rom: http://ift.tt/1Oyz2Iq and then flashed SuperSU. Rebooted but system never comes up. Nothing. Not boot screen, LG logo, nothing. Device was at 97% battery before flashing and have tried plugging into power cord and holding down combination of buttons. Cannot get into download mode or anything else. When the device is plugged into the PC via USB I hear it connect and when holding the power button it will disconnect and reconnect in a loop. However, the screen is always black.

recover data after flashed to stock

My Verizon GS3 softbricked a few days ago. I was running stock but had it rooted. It would freeze at the Samsung black and white screen on boot. I could only boot into Recovery Mode and Download Mode. The last back up I did of the internal data was 6 months ago. I want to recover the data before doing a hard/factory reset.

I read several post and was unclear on what to do in my situation. But I tried to gather as much info as I could to proceed carefully. I pulled the battery several times, nothing. I left battery out to drain charge then put it back in, nothing. I charged phone for hours, nothing. I booted into Recovery Mode and wiped the cache more than once and still no joy. So I decided to try Odin. I read if I flashed the same firmware to my phone the data will be saved. I flashed my phone with I535VRUDNE1_I535VZWDNE1_I535VRUDNE1_HOME.tar and it PASSED with success. Then I flashed with VRALEC.bootloader.tar and that FAILED. Then I flashed with VRALF2.boot.tar and that PASSED. My phone now boots up as normal (except for the black and yellow Factory Mode box floating on my home screen) but I can't see my data or my normal homescreen. On the phone I can see that my 16GB internal memory only has 488MB left. But when I check it Windows Explorer and File Explorer (in Linux) I can only see a few folders that total 4.27MB of data. So there's just over 15GB of data sitting there that I can't see so that I can back it up.

It looks like the data is there but I need to know how to access it. I have word docs, pdfs, pictures, video and audio clips from lectures that I would like to recover.

Does anyone know how to recover this data after its flashed (but not wiped)? Also if there was something else I should have done please let me know. I want to learn in case this happens again.

i think i wrecked my phone any way to recover it

i couldn't get twrp to work on my xperia zr so i tried this open cmd put the phone in recovery mode i think (blue led) then "fastboot flash boot TWRP+RAINBOW2.8.2A.img" then "fastboot reboot" the phone is dead just a red led and a small vibration when powered up but nothing light up any help ?

edit : i boot it again the Q now is there any way to install this recovery TWRP

Galaxy S6 white X in the bottom right corner (Not charging)

Hello,

I am posting on behalf of my wife, She has recently got the Galaxy S6 and when she tries to charge her phone it will open up some sort of VR application and then the screen will turn black and there will be a white X in the corner and other times it will just not charge.

We've tried a friends charger who has the same phone and the problem is still present, The phone itself is only a few weeks old and she's had no other issues with it. For some strange reason I think she can charge it with the wireless charger pop fine but just not with a cable.

I did some research online and a few others have had the problem but there are not fixes that I could see.

Marshmallow update caused bootloop

Hi all,

Just got news of the marshmallow being available to my LG G4 (H815). I was aware of the update having been rolled out to Poland and Korea before so I thought it was a safe bet.
I plugged in my phone, started the LG Bridge software which prompted me with the update. I went on and downloaded it, which happened without any issues.
However, when the process was over and my phone restarted, it went through the usual "app optimization" window and after that started boot-looping. I have the initial audio cue from LG playing every few minutes, with the same "app optimization" for 12 apps (when the first time it was around 90).
I initially left it for a while (5-10min) before i started losing patience. I removed the battery but that didn't change anything.
I initiated the Recovery mode, but it prompted me with a "factory reset" question, which I didn't feel like doing before having tried anything else.
My phone is not rooted and was running Android 5.1, the LG variant. I never fiddled with this phone.

Has anyone else experienced issues updating? Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to recover my data? Because for me, that's mostly what I'm concerned of.

Home screen rotation gone..

Hey guys, just did a master reset to refresh the phone as I have been using it since the day it came out and it was getting laggy and now the home screen wont rotate :confused:

I use that a lot since it scales perfect and the phone is great to hold in landscape. I also do not remember ever setting it up. The screen rotation is enabled but it wont do it. I downloaded some app that forces it but it takes too long, puts an icon on my task bar and takes up some RAM so I uninstalled it.

Any ideas?

Now I want to root my device. Tried few methodes such as, One click root, IO root, iRoot etc.
None of them worked

My only wish is to root my device and remove bloat wares. and then install cwm or twrp if possible

Hi all, soon i will get the otg cable and tp-link adapter and i want to ask how this work, i'm not full n00b but always i don't want issues with this setup :D

service programming code spc for turbo

dear all, I have unlocked BL turbo , I need spc for my phone I tried

Ich habe aktuell CyanogenMod auf meinem Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Nun wollte ich ein paar Überweisungen tätigen, jedoch geht die Sparkasse PushTAN-App nicht mehr.
Nach einigem Googlen hab ich festgestellt, das dieses Problem ein paar Nutzer haben.
Empfohlen wird dabei XPosed zu nutzen. Dies geht aber auf dem Note 3 (noch) nicht.
Weiteres sinnvolles hab ich nicht gefunden.

Kennt jemand eine Lösung für das Problem? So ist das ja irgendwie doof.

Setting up Second Mic as Main mic?

So I'm guessing I blowed my main Mic, and now I was wondering if there is any way to set up the secondary mic as the main(for phone calls and whatsapp voice messaging) , since I know this one is still working.
I've been looking through the build.prop and cant seem to find anything defining where the mic settings are or what apps have access to which mic.

I have a galaxy a500fu running custom CM12.1 by the @TheWhisp

I'd be so happy if someone has an idea, because i really don't wanna buy a new mic and open up my phone once again:D:p

Power button sticking with no resistance?

Just got my Note 5 on Friday. Rooted it and it's been great so far. Last night I noticed the power button is not making the same clicking noise as the volume buttons any more. The power button is still working but you there is no more click when you push it. Anyone else having this problem or know why it might be happening? Kinda worrying me since it's a brand new phone and it's rooted so I can't just take it back to Sprint. And if I unroot, not sure if Sprint would be able to tell it was rooted previously and turn me away.

Samsung Galaxy S6 G920F failed root

So, I tried to root my S6 G920F using CF Root on Odin and it failed. I can now only go onto a page that says recovery stuff and the download page. I have tried flashing and tried as many resets as i can find but none seem to work! Please Help! :(

Samsung Galaxy S6 front screen fitting issue

Hello friends!! I am new here and going through a serious issue which has not been seen before in Samsung Galaxy S6.
Samsung S6's front screen at the right corner besides the front camera is not properly intact..if you press lightly you'll observe that it is loose and moving... guys i have changed 3 phones from service centre and all are having same issue... even the demo phone at Samsung Showroom is also having same issue... i think it is the manufacturing defect in the phone and all Samsung Galaxy S6 are having same issue... though the phone is working absolutely fine and smooth... I just want to confirm whether you are also having same issue with your phone or not....thanks in advance...!!!

Newbie here I need help with rooting

I waited a long time but there is no sign of OTA appearing. I downloaded the zip file from sammobile and waiting for 80 percent charge. Did a backup too. Sony Bravia 4K Android TV-- Amazon Video and Youview both deleted since last update

Just as it says i recently got a 55" 4K Android TV on Black friday, when i set it up there were both youview and amazon video icons but my tv came up and said it needed an update so i went through that and when the update finished both were gone! Please help i have tried factory reset via the setting menu but that doesnt seem to fix it either!

New battery for K8 smartwatch

Hello XDA.

I just recently bought 2 android 4.4 smartwatches.

One of them is the Alps K8 and the other is the Zgpax S82.

both of them work great and dosen't have any lag.
I only have one problem with the K8. the battery life is terrible. It goes down 6-8% only watching 1 minute on youtube while the S82 goes down 0-1 % and they have almost the same battery. K8-450mah S82-500mah.

So I just bought some batteries for the K8
one with 2 wires and another with 3 wires.

I do know that the watch will work with a bigger battery by my question is, will the watch still be able to registrer the battery level and will it get much more battery life with a battery almost twice the charge size?

Does everyones V10 show a "Factory Data Reset" date & time in settings?

Just got another V10 and I notice in settings, about phone, status it shows a last factory data reset date and time. This is the same date and time that I opened and started the phone new out of the box.

I have never done a factory data reset to the phone. Does your V10 show a "Last Factory Data Reset" under these settings?

I've never seen a new phone fresh out of the box showing a last factory data reset logged. :silly:

Modded google play store not working

hey guys. im using, eXistenZ Premium 5.1.1 rom and i have teamwin recovery mode and xposed installer 3.0 alpha 4. i have installed the zip files for xposed, via using the recovery. on lucky patcher i have installed the required patches for the android. xposed is working properly. patches done. root permissions are done. but when i installed the modded play store. its not working. the only thing that i realized unusual is, lucky patcher->toolbox->patch to android: in this area all the patches are installed. do i have to install only the first patch for modded play store? pls help me. thanks.

Xposed Troubles...

Hello there!
So I recently rooted my phone and added TWRP recovery too to my D295, and installed xposed framework... Updated the framework, and installed a bunch of modules.. Now the problem came up 3 days later and the phone started lagging a lot... Tried clearing ram and all but in vain. So I decided to reset it and try again... But again the same problem came up. is it just me or everyone is facing the same problem??

Apple BT trackpad connected to Fire TV stick; will scroll but can't select

I used settings.apk to connect an Apple wireless keyboard and trackpad. Everything works fine so far except that tapping the trackpad does nothing. I can scroll around perfectly but can't select anything. I've tried it on all kinds of surfaces, tried restarting the Fire TV stick... anyone here have a solution to this?

[Q] Note 5 noise static in camera/voice recorder

Just got my note 5. I noticed that when recording a video or using the voice recorder, for the first 4 seconds of the recording, there is a little noise static (white noise) then after the 4 seconds mark, it goes away, becomes clear. Its like the Note 5 took 4 seconds to check the background noise and then adjusted itself to suppress the white noise. I trying to see if this happens with every Note 5. If you can, please record a video in a quiet room. Then play it back in full volume. Do you get this static for the first 4 seconds, then it goes away? Thanks!

Sideload apk

Just updated the nexus player to marshmallow. Flashed the alternative boot.img by Chainfire and also flashed twrp.

How can I sideload the root zip file that needs to be flashed in twrp? The new version of ES Explorer doesn't find the NAS connected to the player and the root zip is saved onto a folder on the NAS.
