Watch faces won't transfer to my Gear Live

I've tried several different apps to no avail. I had an LG G watch before this one so I'm pretty familiar with using a wearable. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both android wear and the apps. I've tried factory resetting the watch twice. I'm stumped. I was worried it was a conflict with my previous watch because when I tried my favorite watch face app, it still detected my old watch at first. I Uninstalled and made sure to clear data and cache but nothing. And I've tried several face apps since then to make sure it wasn't an issue with that app specifically. Please help :(
