Safe to go back to 5.1 after flashing the 6.0 Brazil update?

Is it safe and as simple as flashing that list of fastboot commands I.e. fastboot flash sparsechunk 1, 2, etc. I'd rather go back to 5.1 and take the ota once it comes. Safe to do? Thanks
