Not Connecting To Wi-Fi While Not Connected To Bluetooth?

When I am not connected to my Bluetooth (or just in my home), shouldn't my watch be connecting to my home Wi-Fi?

I feel like my watch's connection has grown slower.

Any thoughts on this?

I have a Galaxy Note 4 phone (if that matters).
