So just out of curiosity, if I were to have a rootkit on my phone, if I happen to wipe the system clean (/system, /data, /cache, etc.) and then install a new ROM, would the rootkit be removed, since I've heard that rootkits get embedded in the kernel and that when installing a new ROM the old (infected) kernel gets overwritten?
